Promoting health & well-being in the developmental disability community.

At Heartshare’s Integrated Health Services, we are committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care that supports the well-being of the New York City neurodiverse community.
Through a mix of physical clinic locations as well as on-site day program and residential visits, we tackle a wide range of areas related to health & well-being. Our approach is both person-centered and interdisciplinary, ensuring that each person’s unique needs are met while promoting their health, safety, and overall well-being. Throughout this entire program, our team of licensed therapists, psychologists, clinicians, and nurses work together to deliver well-rounded care. We emphasize supporting health and preventive care to reduce the risk of medical complications and improve overall quality of life. Our clinic offers physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy, and psychological testing. Our satellite clinics provide behavioral and speech therapy. Additionally, team members provide behavioral, speech, and medical check-ups at various residential locations and day programs.
We believe in self-advocacy and self-sufficiency. When individuals are unable to advocate for themselves, we take on the responsibility to ensure they receive the best healthcare and behavioral support.
We serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who require specialized therapeutic support to enhance their communication, motor skills, emotional well-being, and overall independence. Our clinical teams in residential and day programs work collaboratively to ensure the needs of the people we serve are met.
Access to quality services can be challenging for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as they require specialized care that not all professionals are trained to provide. Every person is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and empowered. Our licensed and highly skilled professionals offer the expertise and empathy needed to support this community.
We focus on key domains, including physical, behavioral, and speech therapy to develop adaptive skills, and psychological counseling to address challenges such as socialization and anxiety. By providing access to professionals with the right skill sets, we help people overcome barriers and achieve their personal goals.

We operate seven clinics in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island, including a resource center, supporting neurodiverse children and adults. We also provide behavior, speech, and medical services at select day programs and residences. Our services are designed to help individuals build the skills they need to navigate their environments and communities more effectively, promoting inclusion, personal growth, and a higher quality of life.
